Interstates Engineers Earn Professional Engineer Licenses
April 12, 2007—Sioux Center, Iowa
The Interstates Companies is pleased to announce that Jaron Vande Hoef and Shane Vander Kooi have each passed an important career milestone by earning the coveted Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation.

The designation is awarded based on both work experience and the completion of a demanding course of study, calumniating in an eight-hour exam. Vande Hoef and Vander Kooi took their exams last October and were recently notified of their new status.

Jaron Vande Hoef
Jaron Vande Hoef has worked for Interstates for five years and is an engineering graduate of Dordt College of Sioux Center. He is responsible for all aspects of projects from the proposal stage to completion, including technical design, specification and installation procedures, and client relationship management.

Shane Vander Kooi
Shane Vander Kooi joined Interstates about a year and a half ago. He also graduated from Dordt College, earning a degree in mechanical engineering. As a Team Lead, Vander Kooi is a client sponsor, is responsible for all aspects of projects, and assists in developing and mentoring his team members.

“This is a significant accomplishment, recognized in the entire industry as a measure of expertise and quality,” states Doug Post, President of Interstates Engineering. “It’s exciting to see Jaron and Shane reach this career milestone.”
